  By the end of the year 2008, eighteen years have elapsed since the establishment of The National Center for Human Resources Development in the year 1990, since then Jordan has driven great steps in the Human Resource Development area, the National Center for Human Resources and Development has played an essential role in promoting human resources development both in Jordan and the region.

   The center concentrated on the enhancement and promoting human resource development and improve relevance of outputs of education and training programs on one hand and development requirements on the other in addition to continue evaluation of reform programs in the educational system as a whole, the human resources development strategy issued  by the center and approved by the council of ministers in 1998 played an important and visible role to reach a number of achievements laid out  by the strategy where the human resources information system designed and executed by the center in cooperation with all partners is a clear  evidence of the strategy objectives and the dialogs of the national agenda and the visibility of the support  of technical and vocational education fund supported by the agenda is part of the important fields indicated clearly in the agenda, it emphasized the necessity of participation of the private sector in the funding process. The said fund will provide  the financing sources necessary for the national human resources development process.

   This website highlights the major activities of the center within the area of human resources development and it  introduces the reader to the various activities administrated ,  and executed by the center or participated in the evaluation on both local and regional levels, along with the consultancies provided to many establishments and agencies in the public and private sectors.

   The future in the field of human resources development in Jordan shows the increased concerns in the coordination among the various sectors and agencies in this areas, the proposed law of the higher council for human resources development came to adopt this activity, and  the aim of the center  is to establish a  national frame work for educational and training qualification, which will have a key role in no doubt to the output quality of education and training system it will also support the Jordanian human resources competition ability on both  regional and international levels.

   In presenting this effort , I feel very much confidence that the National Center for Human Resources Development will be a milestone in enhancing Jordan efforts in human resources fields , to follow the path of good well and support under the guidance of HRH Prince Al-Hassan Bin Talal, chairman of the Higher Council of Science and Technology towards a prosperous Jordan under the leadership of his Majesty King Abdullah AlThani Bin Al Hussein.
