About 23 years ago, the National Center for Human Resources Development, (NCHRD), was established to support the achievements that Jordan has witnessed during the last three decades, most notably in the field of human resources development. The NCHRD plays an important role in the development of qualitative programs and support development policies related to HRD. In addition, the center have other important responsibilities such as; conducting monitoring and evaluation studies that provide input for strategic policy development and preparation of indicators in education in general.
All of the center’s endeavors are directed towards improving the competitiveness of Jordanian capacities and developing the educational system in the various aspects. More interestingly, the center’s contributions were extended to encompasses the Arab countries that keen to take advantage of the diverse expertise at the center.
During the past decades, the center was capable to made important achievements, for example, but not limited to the: development of human resources strategy adopted by the Cabinet in 1998; the creation of human resources information system, and the highlighting of the vocational education and training in the national agenda and the role that this sector plays in the development of human resources.
Actually, to maximize the aforementioned achievements, and in order to keep a good reputation, we are in need for a continued guidance and support. Accordingly we, at the NCHRD, are greatly indebted to His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan Bin Talal, may Allah protect him, the chairman of the Higher Council for Science and Technology, who believes that the development of human resources, in addition to its economical demand, it is a social and humanitarian duty, and the actual translation for the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, may Allah protect him, that "Human resources is the first wealth" in Jordan.
It is expected that this website will provide the reader with general introduction about the major activities of the center within the area of human resources development and it introduces him/her to the various activities administrated, organized, and executed by the center on both local and regional levels.
